I’ve been trying to eat healthier lately but find it hard to find healthy recipes that are quick or can be prepared ahead of time (or I’m just lazy lol), especially breakfast. I found a yogurt popsicle recipe and used that as a guide to make my own form of frozen yogurt treats. The original recipe can be found here. Since we all know how well I follow recipes 😉
I started with vanilla yogurt, instead of greek yogurt because there’s only one brand of greek yogurt I like and it wasn’t available at the time, and then added a little milk and honey.
I eyeballed one cup of yogurt, one half cup of milk, and then added my hearts content of honey.
Next I chopped up some blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries and filled a small ice cube tray. The smaller the tray slots the better especially if you are sensitive to cold.
Next I added the yogurt mixture and shook vigorously to make sure all the spaces between the berries were filled.
I apparently forgot to take a picture of the next step so you’ll just have to imagine it. I crushed up some Honey Bunches of Oats granola to make the pieces more manageable and then mixed in some honey. Next I spread the sticky granola over the yogurt and pressed it down so it wouldn’t fall off later.
I put the mixture in the freezer for a couple of hours then seperated them into little baggies so I can just grab and go.
Pretty yummy, except they melt pretty quickly so that’s why I recommend the smaller ice cube tray.
